SPEAKING
Ideas become valuable when they can be understood, questioned and applied.
My speaking and guest-lecture work draws on experience across education, entrepreneurship, hospitality, wellness, healthcare and technology.
I speak about the decisions organisations and individuals make under uncertainty—how judgement is formed, how trust is earned and how ideas move from theory into responsible practice.
SPEAKING APPROACH
Knowledge should invite participation.
Effective speaking is not simply the delivery of information. It creates a setting in which ideas can be examined, assumptions challenged and experience connected with wider concepts.
My approach combines academic thinking with practical examples drawn from leadership, venture development, strategic advisory and international collaboration. Each session is adapted to its audience, academic level and institutional context.
The objective is not only to communicate a subject clearly, but to leave participants with better questions and a more disciplined way of thinking about the decisions before them.
AREAS OF INQUIRY
Judgement & Decision-Making
How individuals and organisations interpret information, evaluate competing signals and make decisions under uncertainty.
Entrepreneurship & Innovation
How ideas are translated into viable ventures, operating models and responsible forms of innovation.
Trust & Professional Credibility
How trust is established, tested and sustained across organisations, markets and professional environments.
Strategy & Applied Leadership
How strategic ambition is converted into operational capability, organisational culture and consistent execution.
GUEST LECTURE THEMES
Questions that connect academic thinking with professional practice.
Judgement Before Choice
Decisions rarely begin at the moment of choice. This lecture examines how social influence, experience, information quality and contextual cues shape judgement before people become fully conscious of their decisions.
Relevant to
Consumer behaviour · Marketing · Behavioural strategy · Management · Professional practice
What Makes Trust Deserved?
Trust is often discussed as a communication problem, but it is fundamentally a question of conduct, competence and accountability.
This session explores how organisations and professionals establish trustworthiness, particularly in markets where consumers face uncertainty or unequal access to information.
Relevant to
Business ethics · Corporate reputation · Services marketing · Healthcare management · Governance
When Knowledge Meets Practice
Experience does not automatically become wisdom. This lecture considers how reflection, humility and disciplined interpretation allow professional experience to improve judgement.
Relevant to
Leadership · Organisational learning · Professional development · Management education · Reflective practice
Entrepreneurship Beyond the Idea
Launching a venture is only the beginning. This session examines the less visible work of entrepreneurship: positioning, operating systems, credibility, stakeholder relationships and the continuing alignment of vision with execution.
Relevant to
Entrepreneurship · Innovation management · Business strategy · New venture creation · Small-business management
Innovation in Complex and Semi-Regulated Markets
Innovation often develops faster than regulation, professional consensus and consumer understanding.
Drawing on the UK non-surgical aesthetics sector as a contemporary context, this session examines how entrepreneurs and organisations can balance commercial opportunity with consumer protection, professional responsibility and long-term credibility.
Relevant to
Innovation · Healthcare business · Entrepreneurship · Business ethics · Public policy · Risk management
From Strategy to Execution
A strategy acquires meaning only when it shapes decisions, systems and behaviour.
This session considers why apparently sound strategies fail during implementation and how leadership, organisational capability and operational discipline determine whether ambition becomes practice.
Relevant to
Strategic management · Operations · Organisational behaviour · Leadership · Hospitality management

INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT
Connecting academic ideas across markets and cultures.
My international guest-lecture programme is being developed around engagements in Shanghai, Malaysia and Singapore from October 2026.
The programme will bring together themes from strategy, entrepreneurship, consumer behaviour, leadership and responsible innovation. Sessions will be adapted to institutional priorities and aligned with undergraduate, postgraduate or professional curricula.
International engagement is approached as an exchange rather than a one-directional presentation: an opportunity to examine how similar questions are interpreted through different markets, cultures and institutional contexts.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL CONTEXT
Speaking informed by education, research and industry.
Education
Teaching business, management, finance and entrepreneurship across further and higher education contexts.
Research
Doctoral inquiry into informational asymmetry, trust, verification and consumer decision quality.
Industry
Leadership, entrepreneurship and advisory experience across hospitality, property management, wellness, aesthetics and technology.
Together, these perspectives allow academic ideas to be examined alongside the realities of implementation.
A meaningful lecture does more than communicate an idea. It changes the quality of the questions an audience is prepared to ask.
